PRISE - Preston Road Initiative for Security & Employment

Involved in installing security devices in council properties in the Preston road area. The participants will be involved in carrying out surveys to establish what measures/devices are needed, installing the agreed equipment, ensuring that the resident understands how to operate and use installed devices and carrying out quality checks and customer feedback surveys on completion of work.
The project will work in partnership with organisations such as the Housing department, Age Concern, the Police, Victim Support agencies and the Community Safety Partnership.
This project will also host a rapid response team which will respond to burglaries, make good damage and secure the premises any where in the city.
Job Search will be conducted on a weekly basis, along with one day's qualification training per week. Assistance will be given with interview techniques where needed, and the participants will have access to a telephone, stationery and assistance with the preparation of a CV.
Participant places are waged and the project is being delivered by PROBE.
The nature of the work means that all participants will be subject to police vetting prior to starting project work.
