This project provides an exciting opportunity for working in environmental skills to improve school grounds for wildlife. Based within Hull the range of tasks undertaken will be varied. They will include involvement in both the planning and development stages. This may mean working with a range of people and groups from school pupils to Parent Teachers’ Associations and other community bodies to plan environmental improvements.
The project developments will be under the close supervision of a skilled and qualified instructor who has an in-depth knowledge of wildlife conservation.
Throughout the project, Health and Safety instructions will be provided.
The skills training will be towards a CENTRA qualification; City & Guilds 940/1 Practical Environmental Skills.
Jobsearch will be targeted towards meeting the needs of the Personal action plan. If it is felt that training in interview technique is required these can be arranged.
The nature of the work means that all participants will be subject to police vetting prior to starting project work in schools.
