Task Force for Schools

Painting and decorating of schools.

The project focuses on improving the appearance of schools within the local Education Authority, as such you may be working at any one of a number of schools within the Hull area for periods of between 4 and 8 weeks.

The work involves the preparation, rubbing down, undercoating and gloss painting of surfaces that require attention, and will cover both internal and external works.

Qualifications available include: - The vocational Access Certificate I.T. qualifications (where it is felt this would fit in with the project.) Other qualifications may be considered where it is felt they relevant to your needs.

Job Search will be conducted on a weekly basis, along with one day’s qualification training per week. Assistance will be given with interview techniques were needed, and the participants will have access to a telephone, stationary and assistance with the preparation of a CV. The nature of the work means that all participants will be subject to police vetting prior to starting project work in schools.
