The Paull Point Battery is a historic site, which dates from the Napoleonic age, and has seen service in both world wars. It is currently under renovation, and is expected to open as a tourist centre in summer 1999.
The work is of a practical nature and will be undertaken at the site in Paull. Activities include general construction, painting, basic joinery and landscaping.
Qualifications available include the Vocational Access Certificate, which will be based around the construction industry. Basic skills (Numeracy & Literacy). IT qualifications (based on the practical activities undertaken at the project site). Other qualifications may be available dependent on the participant’s circumstances.
Jobsearch will be targeted towards meeting the needs of the Personal action plan. If it is felt that training in interview technique is required these can be arranged.
